  1. Pisa/Siena/Milan:

This trip has been inspirational, extremely informational, and so enjoyable all at the same. After our visits to Florence and Lucca we went to Pisa to climb the legendary leaning tower of Pisa. Looking at it as we walked up to the tower was mind blowing, the whole time I could feel my brain trying to process why this tower was not perfectly erect like the other buildings around. When we finally got through the crowds of tourist and the 15 person only lines to go up the tower, I finally was entering this beautiful building. As I climbed however I had extreme vertigo because of the tilt of the building, it was by far the strangest climb of my life. Even though the climb was rather sickening and the crowds were overpowering this excursion may be one of the ones I remember the most.
After this trip the next day we went to Siena which may be one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen but also one of the most toughest places to walk around because the entire city rest of what could be called a mountain. We ended up only being there for part of the day because we had to get back to our villa to have a wonderful home cooked dinner they were serving. However that part of the day was awesome we got to sit around at a cafe and eat delicious food and watch people walk around the main square where the beautiful town hall sits. After lunch we ended up sitting in the middle of the square, I ended up not sitting however and instead chased pigeons around like a penguin and I swing danced with Patrick. What was awesome about that was that many of the other people around all applauded Patrick and I after we finished which was really cool.
Finally we traveled to our last destination of the trip, Milan, which is the New York of Italy. This city was really nice to come to after Tuscany because I was ready for a better working shower and a air conditioned hotel room, however it was probably not my favorite destination just because it was so modern and it had not a lot of history to it. Though the town did have some awesome shopping! So I ended up spending more than I was expecting but hey I love everything that I got and I also got some amazing deals too. Now we are heading back home and it is a little bitter sweet I am ready to get home and see my love ones but I will also miss the beautiful sites I have seen and all the fun times I had.

  2. Milan 2013

People are dressed so well here!! I felt very underdressed even in my nicest attire while there… I really enjoyed Milan and the feel of the city. It is very classy, and the people seem so calm and nonchalant. This city was also my favorite because I love shopping! If I lived in Milan I would be very broke, but very fashionable. Well hopefully I would learn a thing or two about fashion. Also I would have a very, very, very attractive boyfriend because the men are very, very, very good-looking here. :D

I loved walking around the first night and seeing the city because it comes alive! And our hotel was in the prime spot for the nightlife because clubs were literally next door to us. So that was exciting to see what it is like in other countries and really experience something that is not so touristy.

I missed the seeing the Duomo because I was so worn out Sunday morning, but we walked around and went to a really good place for lunch. Then we got ready for the opera, which I’m not going to lie I was getting nervous for because I did not know before the trip that it was 5 hours. Which is a good thing because I might not have gone. But it ended up being really cool to go see! The first act was a little rough because not much happened, but the music was beautiful! The second act was better, even though I didn’t watch it at all because of where my seat was, but once again the music is so beautiful that you don’t really need to watch. The last part was definitely the best, and I had a better seat so I could watch and look at the subtitles so I knew what was going on. It was one of my favorite things, once I got through it, in the end. We finished off the night with some good ol’ Mexican food, which was actually really great! I’m sad that we are leaving, but I am ready for the convenience of water and bathrooms in the U.S.
