Firenze

Tuscany/Florence/Pisa/Luca:

Holy shit! Tuscany is so beautiful! I would move here in a heartbeat! It looks like a freaking rainforest, I had no idea it would be such a breathtaking place. Our villa is just so great complete with amazing hosts and an infinity pool. Our host, Silivio, gave us a very cool tour with all the history of his family and the farm  and how his wine is made and bottled. Such a sweet guy! Our first couple days were spent in Florence and what we saw there has been the highlight of the trip for me so far. The view from the top of the Pitti Palace garden was one of the most incredible things I've seen. The view of the palace melted into the city and then into the rolling green hills. It was so beautiful, I could totally imagine men and women in extravagant clothes strolling through the gardens. It was a spectacular place, truly.  The other main highlight of Florence was the freaking Duomo. Holy mama! That building was incredible and so huge. Climbing to the top of the dome was a beast but the view from up there made it totally worth it. You could see everything! The art inside the dome was pretty intense and very devilish. Those paintings are more than enough to scare you away from hell. I also really enjoyed seeing the main Piazza where the beginning of light in the piazza takes place. That was really cool to spend a minute there to get an idea of where my character actually was and fell in love. We saw the Ufittzi Museo, that was pretty cool, there were some very famous paintings in there that I studied a long, long time ago. It was almost too big though, you had to go through the entire freaking museum to get out. You would have to spend days there to really see everything. Pisa was an interesting town, we didn't really see much except the leaning tower, which was pretty cool, but it is only a leaning tower in the end. But, as a tourist, you have to go see it. The rest of the city from what we saw seemed really dirty and touristy. We visited Luca as well and biked around the city wall. It was really fun to do that as a group and see this cute little city. Me and some of the ladies totally scored on clothes down in Lucas street shopping carts. Loved that! Finally, we visited Siena, which had a very peaceful and inviting energy, the duomo palace that was in the center of this city was probably the most incredible building I've seen on this trip. The walls and pillars were striped with white and black marble that gave it such a unique texture from any building we've seen. I'm going to miss our little villa and I'm so happy to have visited so many different little cities.
