Hello All!!
I am SO excited to go to Italy in a few days!! I have been
working VERY hard on learning Italian the past 3 months so I am ready to
experience everything that Italy has to offer! Here are my top ten things I
want to do while I'm in Italy:- Better my Italian - being fluent in Italian is on my bucket list (and also useful as a singer) and how better to become more fluent in a language then to go to the country?!
- Devour incredible food - my favorite food is pasta and there is not other place in the world that knows their pasta than Italians!
- Take some amazing pictures - I LOVE taking pictures of everyone and everything, it is possibly an addiction, and taking pictures of myself and my friends in Europe is so exciting!!
- Make fun memories with my classmates - I may not have the best memory in the world, but I sure do love what I remember and hopefully on this trip I can permanently store away lovely memories.
- Meet some unique Italians - meeting Italian locals will help me better my Italian and getting to know strangers is incredibly interesting!
- Climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa!! - I have been to Pisa once when I was probably 7 years old and I remember being so disappointed that the tower was being held up by metal cords but now it has been stabilized enough to climb in! I am SO excited!
- Visit a Murano Glass Blowing Factory! - I LOVE glass factories. I have been to one in Oregon, but Murano glass is the most famous glass art in the world! and getting to visit a factory?! YES PLEASE!
- See Don Giovanni! - I have sung two songs from this opera and so it will be very enjoyable to watch it professional done! Also, getting to watch and Italian opera in an Italian opera house in Italy? How better to see one of Mozart's masterpieces?!!
- Eat Gelatto with my friends - there is nothing better than eating tart, cold gelatto on a hot day in Italy...how do I know this? I don't...but soon I will!!
- GO SHOPPING!! - I have been saving up for this trip so that I can buy some Murano glass, some piece of clothing in Milan (fashion capital!), and a beautiful Venetian mask! And of course postcards to send to my friends and family!
Here we go...
