1. I'm very excited to see the historical sights. I'm a History and Theatre major so the historical aspect of this trip is going to be amazing for me. It's not somewhere that I've studied a lot so this is a great way to learn about it while living it and getting hands on information.
2. Learning Italian is so amazing. I can't wait to start practicing and using this skill when talking to people.
3. I really want to be able to "get lost" in Italy and just find my own places to explore and find things that are often not seen by the typical tourist.
4. I'm so excited to see the architecture. There is something so beautiful about it and so awe inspiring.
5. I'm excited to see an actual opera. I've never been a huge opera fan but after I did some research and got a feel for it I can't wait to take part in it. It's part of a culture that I get to experience.
6. I'm excited to get to know completely new people and just be able to share these wonderful memories. I already feel like we are bonding.
7. I love shopping and finding unique shops that people don't normally find easily. I love finding things that I can't get in the U.S.
8. I can't wait to take the gondola ride. I know it sounds silly but I think as a tourist you have to do it. It sounds like fun and that's what this is all about.
9.I'm a terrible traveler when it comes to food because I am really picky (not of my own choice. I just have terrible taste buds.) That being said I love gelato more than just about anything and it will be so much fun going from place to place exploring the tastes or each flavor.
10. I'm just so excited to have this unique opportunity and spend this time to really learn and absorb a different culture.
You'll have to let us know when you find those off-the-beaten-path shops.
ReplyDeleteI'm a really picky eater too! I didn't run into any real dilemmas last year though. You may be surprised with how much you'll fall in love with the food! :D
