1. Meet Italian Men: I have heard they are creepy at times but I have found the "Help for Women" section in our phrase book. After all, Italy is for romantics and I am looking for my Romeo (or Fabio).
2. Go Shopping: I have just sold most of the clothes in my closet and plan to replace them all with fine Italian fashion... Just kidding... I probably will spend all my money on gelato and wine.
3. Gelato/Vino: I have heard gelato and wine become main food groups in Italy and I am okay with that.
4. See Really Old Stuff: Aka the history of each city we visit. In the US we think the 1800's are old... Ain't got nothing on Italy. But for real... I am an art major so the top thing I am looking forward to is the art.
5. Go To The Opera: Never have I ever been to an opera and being in Italy for my first one will be AMAZING. Also, very excited to learn a lot about music overall.
7. Take Too Many Pictures: Being in one of the most picturesque places on our planet = full memory cards. Thank God for external hard drives.
8. Get Lost: Wander down narrow, cobbled streets, find places unknown to any tourist or travel book... but then use google maps to find the hotel when it gets too late.
9. Master Italian: In two weeks... Might not happen but it is worth a try. (Puó parlare piú lentamente?)
10. Make Lots Of Friends: I hope that the Italian culture will bring us together just as it did for the Jersey Shore... But much more classy.
Love the photos. RE: Jersey Shore, I don't know what you're talking about. I find them super-classy.
