Tuscany and everything else

I thought Venice was going to be my favorite place with the endless water streets and wonderful residents; however, I didn’t expect Tuscany to be the way it was.  I was expecting flat ass country side, not emerald, rolling hills. Not that I’m complaining about the hotel in Venice, but I was expecting a small, crammed space.  Once I saw where we were staying in Tuscany, I felt like I was on the real world.  It was a mansion with an infinity pool; I actually had room to breathe and my bed didn’t feel like plywood.  I was genuinely extremely stoked that that was where we were staying for a week.
I’ve always wanted to see Florence.  Once I took an art history class in high school, I made it a mission for life to see Florence.  There is so much art, architecture, and history there, it is definitely a must see if you are in Italy.  Unfortunately, I forgot everything I ever learned about in the class.  Still, it was really cool to see things that I used to know all and everything about,
One thing everyone knows even without an art class is David.  I loved seeing David in person.  His butt was the most phenomenal thing I have seen this whole trip; I now have a brand new expectation for any guys coming my way, thanks to Michael Angelo.  The Duomo was absolutely incredible.  I got a work out and it was crazy high up.  Again, I don’t understand how architects back then were able to build such an amazing building with the technology they had.  I felt dizzy as hell at the top.
The leather market was pretty cool too.  I enjoyed my bargaining lesson from David and Trevor and I feel like I got a pretty sweet deal on a leather jacket.  I’m not complaining.  I also learned how to deal with annoying vendors when saying “no thank you” doesn’t make them leave you alone.
Lucca was by far my favorite place. It had a fabulous vibe and it wasn’t a tourist trap.  I felt like I got a better perspective from what actual Italy is really like.  In Pisa, I felt like cattle.  If that was my only experience of Italy, I would be extremely disappointed. Consequently, I appreciate our Lucca/bike riding experience because I got the true Italian way for the most part.
Siena was beautiful. Not too touristy, but at least the people I talked to still knew English so it was perfect.
